The TDSB is looking to secure a vendor of record for a video surveillance system which will include an online video management platform and associated IP security cameras.  The video management platform is required to be a ‘cloud-based’ SaaS solution which will allow for remote, browser based control.  Onsite hardware should be limited to IP security cameras without requiring the presence of an onsite digital video recorder or network video recorder.  The security cameras will need to integrate with the proposed video management platform.  Contractors can propose a platform that integrates directly with proprietary IP security cameras or can propose an open source system that can work with multiple types of third party cameras.

Purchases for this initiative will typically be made at an individual school/site level so a system that can be scaled over time is imperative.
