MP20-319P - Supply of Plumbing & Heating Products for TDSB Trades

The Toronto District School Board intends to secure contracts with a qualified Bidder(s) for the Supply of Plumbing & Heating Products for TDSB Trades.  The supply of Plumbing and Heating for the TDSB shall be in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined below.

Term: Successful Bidders will be required to enter into a contract with firm pricing which will be effective for a Two (2) year period.  The Board reserves the right, at the sole discretion of the Board, to exercise an option to extend for Three (4) additional One (1) year periods at pricing agreed to by both parties.. The successful Bid(s)
will require approval by the Board of Trustees prior to contract award. The terms and conditions of the extension option would remain the same as for the initial contract period.

The desired  supplier will have distribution location/s in the geographic areas covered by the learning centres 1 , 2, 3 4 . The boundaries for the East would be Port Union Road to Bathurst Street and Lakeshore Blvd. to Steeles Avenue and the boundaries for the West would be Hwy 427 to Bayview Avenue from Lakeshore Blvd to Steeles Avenue. Please refer to our  Learning Centre Maps of boundaries provided on the RFP.

The Board reserves the right to award to multiple vendors.

Evaluation Criteria – Plumbing & Heating Supplies for TDSB Trades Staff – RFP # MP20-319P

In general terms, Proposals received will be evaluated in terms of how well they meet the requirements stated in below. In order to determine the extent to which a Proposal reflects the requirements, submissions shall be rated using the following criteria as a general guideline.

Proponent with lowest cost will be given full percentage (60) rating for criterion.   Next lowest and all others submitted will be given rating based on percentage (%) difference to lowest cost.

Indicate Any Value Added Services you can offer:

Ability to incorporate the TDSB line item from a contract on all invoices/packing slips/quotations.

Ability to provide monthly, quarterly, yearly detailed consumption reports listing all material procured by TDSB.

Line card of plumbing & heating material not listed on the fee proposal and the TDSB discount rate. Be specific in listing TDSB rate.

Indicate the TDSB discount per manufacturer.

Other programs/services that may be valuable to TDSB.

Locations/Delivery Abilities (3):

Specify and list all locations. TDSB schools and sites, refer to the Learning Centre (LC1, LC2, LC3 & LC4) Maps/Documents.

Provide information that as a vendor you have the ability to service all of TDSB needs and requirements.

If vendor has the ability to provide same day delivery service indicate what is the cut-off time to receive same day delivery.

Indicate if have the ability to deliver material to TDSB schools/sites on time.

Provide information for any 24/7 service and after hours programs.

Indicate if TDSB will have dedicated staff from your organization to service TDSB if required.

Evaluation and Award

This RFP, shall be awarded based on evaluation of the criteria set out. THE INTENT OF THE TDSB IS TO AWARD TO MORE THAN ONE VENDOR AT SOLE DISCRETION OF TDSB.
