The Professional Services Provider shall start the project as soon as possible when the contract is awarded.  The successful Professional Services Provider shall submit a project schedule to the Board immediately upon award of the Contract.  Tender document delivery by January 2028

Hours of Work:  Non-destructive work can be performed during regular hours.  Any work effecting school operation shall be carried out after hours or on the weekend in accordance with the city by-law.
 

INTRODUCTION

The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) intends to engage an architectural firm experienced in new school design and construction to act as the prime consultant in the provision of architectural design and contract administration services for the new Kapapamahchakwew – Wandering Spirit School.
Each proponent is required to assemble a group of experienced school design sub-consultants to provide the required professional services to successfully complete the project as presented in this document.
Building upon a long history of involvement with the TDSB and Wandering Spirit School, Two Row Architects will be the Indigenous Design Architect for the new facility; the successful proponent will include Two Row under their contract to lead the design of the project, and will work with Two Row to ensure that Indigenous design requirements and practices are captured and expressed in the project.

Evaluation Criteria:

Stage 1: 
A. Firm Experience and Quality (10 points) 
B. Team Composition (15 points)
C. Experience with Similar Projects (25 points)
D. Project Methodology (25 points)

Bidders must achieve a minimum of 70% on Stage 1 in order to proceed to stage 2.

Stage 2: 
E. Fees (25 points) 
F. Interview by Architect Selection Committee (Pass/Fail)

Stage 1 criteria A-D shall be evaluated and scored by the Owner’s Evaluation Committee.
