TDSB develops and manages externally funded projects through the office of Business Development & Community Services (BDCS). BDCS accesses and manages external funds to provide settlement, employment, language and skills development programs and services for the community.
Business Development & Community Services role is to plan, design, coordinate and deliver programs on time, on target and on budget; manage, track, evaluate and report on the results of each project; comply with all Board, government and business regulations, with full audit control and reporting processes in place; follow quality assurance standards; maintain expert skill levels in all staff and project workers; continually audit and evaluate programs to ensure content currency, ease of learning and delivery standards.
The Board requests Proposals from qualified suppliers to act as providers of Child Care Professional Services within the Childcare Monitoring Advisory & Support (CMAS) project for the Business Development & Community Services (BDCS) department, providing services as described in this Request for Proposal. These services are to be provided to any employee, official or other person for who the Board has authorized during the period described in this Proposal. CMAS works with Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada on a number of projects. These include: LINC and settlement programs. Under the LINC (Language Instruction for New Canadians) contract, programs provide English as a Second Language classes to adult newcomers to Canada. Many of the LINC programs offer on-site care for the children of the adults learning English. The program is called Care for Newcomer Children (CNC). CMAS helps CNC providers stay informed and to be accountable in all areas of Health and Safety. It provides support and monitors all of the facilities for Health and Safety. CMAS monitors and supports about 180 LINC CNC Programs across the country that care for more than 3,000 children. The Toronto District School Board intends to award contracts for a three (3) year period with two (2) one (1) year extension options. |
