The Toronto District School Board intends to secure contracts with a qualified Bidders for Electrical Supplies and related Products for the trades staff.  Electrical supplies and related products for TDSB shall be in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined below.

Term: Successful Bidders will be required to enter into a contract with firm pricing which will be effective for a Two (2) years period.  The Board reserves the right, at the sole discretion of the Board, to exercise an option to extend for Three (3) additional One (1) year periods. The successful Bid(s) will require approval by the Board of Trustees prior to contract award.  The terms and conditions of the extension option would remain the same as for the initial contract period.

1. Price - 40 points

2. Company Profile - 15 points (to include: Company organization description; Number of years in business; Company size and structure; Annual sales volume for the product lines being offered; Customer/technical support process; Canadian Standards Association)

3. Experience based on similar contracts - 15 points

4. Service location (to include: number of locations, geographic areas/address) - 10 points

5. Product Delivery and after hour availability - 10 points

6. Return/Refund, Warranty and Claim policy - 5 points

7. Discount for non-contracted items  ONLY - 5 points

EVALUATION MATRIX:

Excellent:    15 - 20         Exceeds the required standard. Response answers the question with precision and                                                      relevance and includes improvement thru innovation/added value

Good:          10 - 15          Meets the standard required. Comprehensive response in terms of detail and relevance to                                           the question.

Limited:         5 - 10          Fails the standard in most aspects but meets some areas in level of detail. Generally                                                   inadequate and only partially addresses question.                                                                             

Inadequate:   0 – 5           Significantly fails to meet the standard. Question not answered or answer is not relevant                                             to the question.
