The Toronto District School Board intends to secure a contract with a qualified and certified Proponent for the inspections of lifting devices, lifting equipment and repairs in auto shops at TDSB. The contract shall commence on September 1, 2026 to August 31, 2029 with the option to extend for three (3) additional twelve (12) month periods ending August 31, 2032. The successful Proponent(s) will require Board approval prior to contract award. The terms and conditions of the extension options would remain the same as the initial contract period. Evaluation is based on the following criteria (out of 100 points): Price 45 points Qualifications 20 points BOA (Buy Ontario Act) 10 points Company Profile and Location 25 points
**NEW INFORMATION TO BIDDERS** The Province of Ontario enacted the Buy Ontario Act “BOA” (Public Sector Procurement), 2025, and the associated Buy Ontario Procurement Directive, effective April 13, 2026, to strengthen Ontario’s economy by prioritizing Ontario and Canadian goods, services, businesses, and supply chains in public sector procurement. The Directive applies to Ontario government entities and designated Broader Public Sector (BPS) organizations, including school boards, and requires greater consideration of Ontario and Canadian sourcing in procurement activities. **INSTRUCTIONS** As a result of the Directive, bidders responding to this procurement are required to submit the following mandatory Buy Ontario documents with their bid submission:
